Ferrari had early difficulties, with a spin in the damp conditions for Schumi, and a early tyre change needed for Barrichello. They then battled back to win.

DC tried what was effectively a 1 stop strategy, and looked promising at one point, but the strategy was later proven to not be adequate, with Coulthard struggling under the burden of a heavy fuel load after the one and only pit-stop.

The other notable retirement was Gianmaria Bruni, who departed the race after a fuel fire in the pits while refueling. The fire was more spectacular looking than it actually was, and the car received little or no damage. The problem was that Bruni got hit with fire-extinguisher dust, temporarily suffering breathing difficulties.

Damn, fell asleep before it came on again.

Good on BAR with 3 and 4. And of course well done as usual to Ferrari. Good to see the "other" driver win. Surprised the team bosses allowed it. :help:

Was a great race.
Particullary the first 10 laps or so. The earlier rain and different
tire and fuel strategies made the start of the race very eventful.
You could clearly see how difficult it was for some drivers to keep
the car on the track in the narrow corners. There was a lot of position changes and a cople of really bad mistaces.
After the first spectacular laps it became very clear that it would turn out to be a fuel strategy and consistant driving that would win the race.

I think Ferrari showed great strength yesterday.
Shumi was 14th after a spin in one of the first corners and Barichello had to make an early tire change since his rain tires were suffering hard from to dry tracks. Mistakes by other drivers and great driving by the Ferraris gave them another victory. I was hoping for Kimi to do another good race, but the car gave up on him during the first pit stop

Barrichello can still be challenged for the 2:nd pos in the chapionship so i don't think team orders were on the agenda ;)

The other thing strange at the moment is Renault. Jarno Trulli complains that after it was announced he was leaving the Renault team, his Renault car suddenly stopped performing properly.

Very odd, huh?
