I just had to post a message to say God Bless Those that lost lives on the horrible day 3 years ago in New York, U.S.A. !!! Them and the families deserve it ! The mighty SUCKER PUNCH ended such innocent lives and created SO much hatred ! I wish I could forget what my eyes have seen and that it ever happened ! But, life goes on, and we all just deal with it in the ways that we do ! Just a short tribute to the ones going through such pain, and offering my feelings for all the people that MUST still be hurting from this insane act of stupidity ! That's about all from here ! God Bless...........And may Freedom Ring....... God Bless America !!!!!!!!!!
P.S.- This wasn't typed to create a ton of anti-American "jibberish"..........It's just my way saying how I feel ! Good luck to you all, and let's all try to not be SO "mean" to each other ! Take care all !
Bye for now !

acctually surprisng this year there wasnt much said about it at our end, I was listening to the radio for much of the day and they played 1 tribute song which was about it.
Although part of the problem is out 11th is acctually a day ahead of New York or something like that, so its not really the same day it happened when comparing Aus time to NY time
Anyway yes a tragedy. My uncle went to NY quite some years back and he still has his photos and memories from the top of the WTC which we're all holding onto with our lives, because we know none of us will ever get to stand on the top of the magnificant building and take in the views, nor meet some of the nice people that my uncle did that worked in the buildings. I think their replacing it with memorial buildings or something, it'll never be the same unfortunately
It hit me hard in Aus tho because I was part of the local fire brigade, and to us it was a thought of imagine if we got called to a Sydney landmark being hit by an air plane, that could be our mates running in to save lives, or being called to the site only to have it collapse. Especially for us radio operators, the thought we could be calling the crews to something like that only to have them "call off on site" and that be our last words to them, or the last words they hear, "copy that your on site". It'd be bad because you'd live with that thought for the rest of your life, you called them men and women to their death :'(

You just don't want to think about those things. It is no good for your sanity to dwell on them. If you worry about them, I feel you are doing what the terrorists want. And I won't do that. ;)
I also like how the media coverage of the 9/11 memorials has been much more respectful and subtle this year, as opposed to previous years.
