Had a fun little tussle in one of my regular IRC haunts tonight (same network as our own #Racerplanet chat channel... the Undernet IRC Network--check it out sometime :D) #F1.

I'll just let you read it for yourself... The title of this thread may become a little more apparent after a while ;)

<`1653> So yeah, Formula 1, seen the newest site for it?
<`1653> www.neat.tk
<`1653> All kinds of great F1 stuff there.
<Matt-> you wouldn't happen to webmaster that site, would you? :P
<`1653> Nope
<`1653> But it's more dynamic than an F1 site. :P
<`1653> Something actually moves!
<Matt-> I'm sure
<`1653> There are F1 sites from 2002 that are still correct.
<`1653> That's how boring F1 is
<Matt-> wow, thanks for that useless piece of information
<Matt-> I needed that
<`1653> Why do you still follow F1?
<Matt-> just what i needed to end my day
<Matt-> another wanker to tell me how boring F1 is
<`1653> It won't be worth following again until something is done about Schumacher
<Matt-> why do you come into an F1 chat channel to ask such a lame question?
<Matt-> nothing needs to be done about Schumacher
<`1653> Because I'm amazed that there are still people who lack the life to do something other than follow a foregone conclusion
<Matt-> everyone else simply needs to get their act together and present a better challenge to him
<Matt-> I continue to be amazed that there are people who lack lives even worse who must criticize the aforementioned people

<Matt-`> I continue to be amazed that there are people who lack lives even worse who must criticize the aforementioned people
<Matt-`> just in case that didn't arrive
<Matt-`> ISP timed out
<Matt-`> wee
<Matt-`> fun
<Matt-`> you can't say that the results at Spa were a foregone conclusion, that's for certain
<`1653> Damon Hill was the last decent challenger
<Matt-`> there's always a dynamic element to the sport
<Matt-`> no, I think Mika Hakkinen was the last decent challenger
<Matt-`> :P
<Matt-`> Villeneuve before him
<`1653> He had a better car.
<`1653> As did Villeneuve
<Matt-`> and THEN it was Damon
<Matt-`> so did Damon
<Matt-`> heh
<`1653> Hill overtook Schumacher in an ARROWS
<Matt-`> and Alonso overtook Schumacher in an underpowered RENAULT
<Matt-`> so what
<Matt-`> hell, Alonso even lapped him last year
<Matt-`> there's always surprises in this sport
<Matt-`> that's what keeps me watching
<Matt-`> How about Montoya's pass on Schumi? that was pretty damn good
<`1653> Yeah...some fans might turn up to a race. P
<`1653> :P
* Matt- (Matt-F1@PhaTMatT.users.undernet.org) Quit (Ping timeout)
<`1653> I don't watch it anymore.
<Matt-`> and hey, Mikey didn't even win that last one, not sure if you noticed or not
<`1653> I got tired of it in 2001
<Matt-`> and yet you're still here, criticizing people who do watch it because you don't have a lfie
<Matt-`> *life
<Matt-`> and then accuse us of having no life
<Matt-`> I find that highly ironic and amusing
<`1653> I find you highly moronic and irritating.
<`1653> Good day to you.

<Matt-`> you just missed the fun, Martin
<Matt-`> I just told off one of those lame guys who accuses us F1 fans of having no lives because Schumacher dominates and everything is a foregone conclusion
<Matt-`> which I throw back in his face with he doesn't have anything better to do than to criticize the aforementioned people
<Matt-`> it was fun
<Matt-`> :P
<ZatAoMM> hehehe
<ZatAoMM> I'd love to see you tell someone off
<ZatAoMM> I can't imagine

[useless fact not even at all related to the real subject]
I met ZatAoMM at this year's USGP. Always nice to put faces to people you've met online. Very cool dude. Definitely will be heading back to Indianapolis for the GP next year as well. Loads of fun[/useless fact]

Well there you have it, the most exciting moment of the last... 20 minutes.

How long do you spend on these chat things? :?

<Matt-> everyone else simply needs to get their act together and present a better challenge to him

You were dead right with that comment. Mclaren had the season beginning from hell this year, and Williams wasn't too crash hot either, while Renaults spent most of their time battling with horrible understeer. :ack:

How long? Well if ever I was on a chat group, Matt was always there.. Must prove something. :p

Maybe '1653 would find that year more interesting, and watch rocks roll down a hill the fastest. &(

Not much lately. A typical day I will work 8 AM to 4 PM and have school start at either 5:30 or 6 PM, depending on the day... class will end at 9:30 or 10:00 at night, again, depending on day. That chat log was from one such day. I logged on for a few minutes while I did the routine check of email and messageboards for the day, as I didn't have the chance to earlier in the day because of obvious reasons. I logon to IRC out of habit. Plus in at least one of the 4 channels I frequent someone will be talking...
