Well, tomorrow morning, I head off to Vancouver to record a single at Blue Wave Studios. We will be re-recording the song "Doin' it Right On The Wrong Side Of Town" (originally by The Powder Blues (http://www.powderblues.net/) ) with the original author of the song, Tom Lavin. It will be quite fun as Tom will be singing a verse, as well as duelling guitar solos with me. We will also record a stupid party tune we wrote called "Heinous", which is really just a joke and a fun song; nothing to take seriously.
So, the schedule is as follows:
Wednesday Morning @ 8:00 a.m. we drive 10 hrs to vancouver and hopefully pass out for the night.
Thurday, 8:00 a.m. - 5:00 p.m. we record (day 1)
Friday, 8:00 a.m. - 5:00 p.m. we mix and master (day 2)
Saturday, 8:00 a.m. we drive back to Calgary with a single in hand.
It will be quite the mission, but it should be very productive and also a lot of fun.
L8ER,
TJ

All done! We were WAY ahead of schedule. Our studio experience combined with the talents of the engineer allowed us to get things done from start to finish in a total of 8 hours. Anyway, now comes production and distribution, which is always fun ... NOT!
We'll see what happens with it from here, heh.

Fist run is for the radio stations across North America, so maybe 500 or so right off the bat. We will need to do a bit of field testing to determine how many official singles we want to release for sale, but likely a couple thousand to start with anyway; unless we just do a small run and get the whole album out quickly instead.
We've also been thinking on mailing stations in other countries around the world too, but getting all the right information is abit tricky at times.
well, I think triple M might play your music, their site's www.triplem.com, they braodcast around Australia, but I dunno, would have to contact them, only rock channel that I know of too.

Hey VQ, this is just the sort of info that we need, thanks for the tip! If you can muster up any more information about this radio station, then by all means send it my way! -^ You never know what you might hear on the radio. I know our last album sold smalltime 200 + in Aus strictly through onine sales, so maybe this single will do better. Rock on.
