Well, there goes the summer. I had a fun time, and just now i realized that the Ontarians didn't get together this summer like some of us had talked about... Oh well, another year... Kind of wish i did more with my summer. I look back and all i see is many hours of work at my 3 month old job. And a few eventful days imbetween all of the piles of work. On the other hand, i did make quite abit of money working overtime. I even got time and a half to work today! Woohoo! ^_^ But i'm looking forward to my classes, i don't really try at my classes and i still manage to get more than an 80 average for the year. And my selected classes are great to. Auto, Construction/Wood, and metal shop! Hopefully it will be like last years woodshop where i finished with an eye popping 94  I think it may be that i never can settle with half ass work. If i'm gonna work, i'm gonna really work. That's what i think anyways... As much as i'm gonna miss getting up on my days off and either doing nothing at all or doin something with friends, it's great to finally get back to school and get into classes that i love to do (auto, wood, metal) . So i say good bye to summer  and hello to another year of school :trink:

I know, I'm crying the blues about it too. :( It wouldn't be so bad if not for the fact that this summer has been nothing but rain rain rain. I think I can count a total of about 10 days since April where it has actually been warm and sunny. It's pretty sad.

hey we'll swap? We've just come out of Winter where it reached 27 degrees celcius one day, and the average was around 22 - 25 degrees celcius FOR WINTER!! I dont even want to know how hot summers going to be
Plus we've had no rain =(( The storage dams down to 40 something % that services the entire Sydney area, in 99 or 2000 it was up to 99% and they almost had to look at dropping the flood gates to lose some of the water before it spilled over, then look how the weather turned and we ended up with no water at all!
Its that bad we've got restrictions and their looking at taking it further -currently we can only wash the car with a bucket on the lawn (boy thats fun trying to scrub off all the grime because theres no water pressure), you cant water gardens or lawns except for a few hours on a Sunday, Wednesday and Friday, cant wet any hard surface such as concrete at all, cant fill the swimming pool
then when it does hit, like yesterday arvo, we get a massive storm with hail, extremely strong winds. and all sorts of whopping lightning bolts which lasts all of 3 minutes and passes, worst of all it doesnt even reach the dam
I think I can count a total of about 10 days since April where it has actually been warm and sunny. It's pretty sad. I think I can only count 3/4 of a day where we had a decent storm, even then it did nothing for the dam
Sorry for my whinging, its just funny when you think about how you'd prefer a nice warm dry spell and we'd prefer a nice cool wet spell )=)

I can confirm those storms Y2K mentions. We got a heap of hail in a small amount of time.
I think it would be nice for Sydney to get some decent rain that would fall in the catchment areas. We are supposed to be getting another storm this afternoon, I hope it doesn't arrive until my work for the day is finished. ;)

It was a fine day, then come over cloudy, then I had to head into the outskirts of Sydney where I was sitting in the car for an hour (I got to an interview an hour early ... what, well usually the traffics banked back and it takes an hour to get through) where I had to run the air cond because it was sooooo hot, then when I come out the clouds are back
FYI (not that it matters but Chris might find this interesting) todays local paper said the dam is at 40.8% capacity
I wish it would rain over the catchment areas too
Commander can we borrow some rain ^_^
