View Full Version : VZ Commodore For V8C
Just Thought i'd give you guys the heads up,
I made a VZ for V8C, which can also be converted for SCGT for the future 2005 Mod.
IT also comes with a blank VZ skin. Currently only for Car01a.pdo (first car on list) but i will make a full pack later on.

hey VSV6, how come you aren't using the v8 shakes site to host it?

hehe its all right - i'm just motivating you by negative comments )=)
Motorvating me would be standing behind me and making me do it :p
yeh V8Shakes seems to be in a mess atm, so i figured it would be better to host it on my site.
Cheers

from the screen shots, it looks like just a new skin, will need to look at it properly to be able to tell tho.
Yeh most of the difference is in the skin but the bonnet has a bit of a bulge now and the front sticks out a bit more on the sides.
Cheers

fair enough. in fact i'll probably pull out myself from v8 shakes team. no v8 supercar games to mod anymore, so i can't really update it or anything and also the v8c content is quite old so can't do much with that.
shane
but, there isn't just V8C to mod Shane, theres other games to, you just haven't looked hard enough. You could skin for the procar mod that will eventully happen.

come join SCGT ^_^
acctually dont ... I'm trying to keep it low key at the moment to keep myself busy converting and the like
I'm currently re-doing the 2004 V8 Supercars which'll be availiable shortly in the next few weeks, I might release some early but I'm aiming at releasing them all at once to stop "requests" -^
I would convert, but I can't seem to get the conversion process right.

oh and by the way my site is in a worse place than v8 shakes, racer v8 is closed on my server and the half built new version is somewhere on my harddisk lol

Okay converted to racer this morning, here is the body.dof file for someone to convert to scgt you will need to get the textures from the orginal pdo file.
I have uploaded screenshots of the car in racer to:
http://www.racerv8.orcon.net.nz/VZCommodore/index.html
But I will not release until I have permission to do so

I did once consider that because of the fact its a free game to begin, so you could offer the entire modded game as a download, not just an add on modification :D
Sounds like a possibility
Brad:
Looks great Mate, feel free to use my model all you want
Long as you credit me of cource ^_^
Cheers

only problem is, there is a lot of messing around to get cars in game from what I have tried and heard.

thats what i have been trying to do for about two years never got very far, first track was winton, honestly it was not that good but ppl on the racer forum teared it to bits complaining about it gave up after that, I am making pukekohe now but it takes so long in zmodeler. also the fact that racer keeps changing how things work with every new beta is annoying. physics change suddenly none of the cars or tracks work til new files are created all files have to be marked with the criptic version number that they are designed to run with latest is 062b3
