not much to do so i thoght id post somthing to get this forum going (besides chey's thread on how this place is dead)

Who uses racer? i have 0.49 and 0.5 beta 1, my favourite track is Mugello, 2:51:71 is my best time (probly with lots of spinouts) the only car i really drive is Justin's Datsun because it has a clutch and most other cars dont, and its just fun to drive. theres also a porche i like cause it does good burnouts (well not good but its really easy to get smoke from the rear tires and do doughnuts and stuff)

Yeah If I could get it running it IS a really sweet game but sadly, it don't run on my Mums comp cause the video card going dodgy and Dad won't let me install it on his and my Pc is a peice of C#ap!

Sure, you can show people or release modded skins as long as you give me credit for the original. I suppose you know this, but there's a blank skin on my webpage just for that purpose. ;)

justin, i want to make a car have 4 wheel steering , do you know how to do it, i tried just changing the value of the back wheels steering to 1, but they steer the wrong direction so the car keeps going straight with the body side ways

Hey Dylan, I dont think its possible two hav all wheel drive in racer, but It may come out soon

not all wheel drive, all wheel steering, and i think you can have 4 wheel drive

Go to wheel2 and wheel3 and change steering=0 to steering=1. That will turn on rear steering, however, this makes the back wheels steer in the same direction as the fronts, which makes the car "crab" left and right, not reduce the turning radius like opposite steer would.

I tried adding a lock=-40 to wheel2 and wheel3, but it made the back wheels permanently locked all the way to the left, it didn't give opposite steer like I had hoped. Using positive lock (ie lock=20) on the rear wheels does work and allows you to change how much the car wants to crab.

That's where most of the good designers (Ryan, Stecki, etc) post previews of their work. Ryan's got a stunning GT500 he's working on now. NFSCheats has a Racer forum also, it's not as big as the official forum and you get better advice/answers at the official forum. Quite often from Mr Ruud van Gaal himself. :D (the programmer)

This forum seems to be turning into the de facto Racerplanet Racer forum, lol. :D Not that I mind, great to have visitors on my board. ;)
