Replay mode and pink slips are in NFSU2 according to IGN (http://pc.ign.com/articles/539/539790p1.html?fromint=1).
I was never huge on the pink slips thing, but I'm sure it'll be fun. The replay mode is definetly cool.

Well, more new info, but no one even cares. Anyway, someone at NFSUnlimited found some new screens, containing two new vehicules and possibly a dyno.
There's a LINCOLN NAVIGATOR!!! Sweet! it looks blinging.

You can see the interior as well.

Look at that blue car! That's new. Is it a Del Sol or something.
Anyway, from some of these screens the graphics engine looks updated and really nice.

That blue car is the legendary Toyota Sprinter AE86 Trueno famous by The Drift King Keiichi and the story based on his driving: Initial-D. The car is also know as Toyota Corolla Coupe outside of Japan.

The AE86. Definately a must for drifting comps.
It's a very popular car, and when one goes up for sale, it's sold within that day.

heck yeah, thats a nice Hacki Roku.... but what about the 240sx (180sx)? well besides the color and air dam, its pretty nice. this game might be worth playing after all.
Yes this game looks so good, only v8 powered cars are useless 4X4's which wouldn't know power because they are so heavy, and a Ford Rustang, and prolly only because it has OHC compared to the other v8's just being a OHV, they prolly get confused cos there is only one cam, and it is too low for them to use.
THe rest of the cars are just little jap cars with a couple Europeon FWD's, not worth getting IMO.

just like in real life

im not sure why they have trucks on a street racing game, it seems kinda pointless to me, like trying to say all v8s are faster than imports
not all are faster. some are some aren't, but you quoting me like that, taking my words compleltly out of context, I can now say that all 4's and 6's are useles in real life back.

you were going to say it sooner or later ^_^
thing is I don't agree with it, I love europeon 4's and 5's and and Aussie 6's and 8's, and 4's mainly just VW TDi's but beside the piont.

I agree, although some of these newer screens, it's as if they've been photoshopped somehow, this is most visible on the 'speed-blur' on the wheels... if that is an addition to the in-game graphics, than it could look very cool, but like I said, it looks more like the screens have been touched-up afterwards. I would be quite disappointed if that were the case. :nono:
Needless to say, the promise of an extensive replay option is making me slightly giddy though. :hyper:
Remko, that last screen is almost undoubtably 'shopped. Just look how that screenie compares to the other screenshots, it looks too 'painted'. Do you get my (pardon the pun) 'drift'? :p
By the way, what is this 'pink slip' thing? Sounds interesting.
Visually, UG didn't need loads of improving, it's the gameplay in the circuit racing that needed an arse boot, i hope they've fixed it up :)

take a naturally aspirated 4 cyl, take a naturally aspirated 6 cyl, and then take a naturally aspirated 8 cyl, line them up, and race in stock standard form. lets use for example, a 4 cyl celica, a 89' skyline R31 6 cyl, and a 1989 holden commodore v8, how would they go in the 400 metres? the skyline would jump in front because of its light weight, high torque, the celica would be left for dead by all witnessing, the v8 would slowly pace off the starting mark, and by the time the skyline hits the 150 metre mark, the v8 would be overtaking it because of its superior horsepower and torque.
but then you take into account bolt ons, turbos and superchargers. what if they were all turbo'd, the v8 would still win, what if they were all supercharged, the v8 would still win.
take a skyline R34 GTR (6 turbo) ($120k AUD) a porsche boxster (4 turbo) (around $150k? aud) and a Ferrari 430 N/A-V8 (god knows how much), do your own research. see which would be the fastest,
i dont know every car in the world, but take the fastest factory 4 cyl, 6cyl and v8, and see what happens,
and if you want to go into how cheap a 6 cyl turbo is, lets have a look at rotaries, $10k AUD and you have a 9 second RX3

right on Apocolypse :D
Ive seen WRX's and the like jump SS Commodores (and similar cars) at traffic lights, but if the V8 driver is genuinelly racing them once the cars wound up its off like a shot
Its similar to the promo thing Holden did at Bathurst this year. They lined up a HRT racing Supercar, one of Brockies original racing Toranas and a VZ SS. The Torana went first, the SS second, the HRT 3rd, Each got a 10 second head start from memory ie torana went, 10 seconds later the SS, 10 second later the HRT
It wasnt long before the Supercar passed the SS, then the Torana to take first. By the end of Conrod the SS had almost made up the 10 seconds on the Torana, I cant recall if it passed it or not but I know it did make up the gap.
Its the same principal, the Torana had a 20 second head start on the supercar which overtook it just over half way into the lap.
I know its not like what your comparing ie a 6 cyl turbo skyline vs v8 commodore, but its the same principal
