2005 Ford Mustang GT

Also, another car

The Opel Corsa [(Silver) Maybe.] Some people at NFSUnlimited think it's the Corsa, or it could just be a Focus.

Lots of new screens at IGN (http://www.gamespot.com/ps2/driving/needforspeedunderground2/screenindex_6105083.html)

It's an opel corsa/holden barina. 100% definately one of those two.

Funny to see the Mustang with the funny wings.. ;)

Man, that mustang looks ugmo, that bodykit???? Maaannn, eeeeeeew. At least the mustang itself looks good!!!!

Interesting to see a stock barina beat it, lol

they do that sort of stuff to them all the time, the Americans have made their own bodykits for our Monaro already too, ugly as all of them and with worse bonnet vents then what the factory one gets.

That's a rather ignorant generalization, VQ. From what i've seen on the 'net, you guys have your fair share of ricers as well. Don't assume that our car culture is what you see at SEMA and in ricer magazines.

In real life, i've seen very, very few bodykits as bad as the ones in those pics. Like everyone, i've seen pics on the 'net of cars that are that bad, but they seem to come from all over the world.

Justin is absolutely correct.

I've seen some terribly riced V8 Commodores with the chrome/shiny wheels from hell, the almost mandatory too ugly, too unsuitable rear wing, and the also mandatory low-rider look, and the audio system from hell fitted inside it..

The American SEMA shows and so on don't have an exclusive monopoly on poor taste.

I'm not talking about japenese cars, cos yes, we are the worst, but I'm talking about the mustangs and camaros and stuff, I know it isn't that often, but they are the ones shown.

only wings that I can think of for a commodore being big is a v8 supercar one. Chrome and large rims is a showoff thing everywhere, sometimes it adds to a car, but most of he time as with all cars, they are just posers, the low rider thing, well air-bags are in now, but the ones I've seen are tastefully done, one is a Monaro which has a VY front end with a SSX front bar on it, with a fancy glitter pain job ont he top half of the car.

I know it isn't exclusive, but at least for the Monaro/GTO, the aussie's make tastefull kits, and generally only use factory bodykits.

than you!!

i have seen some very not conservative bodykits on the net for monaro's vq. not every one has the same taste in cars, while some one is looking for a simple bodykit for performance reasons, some other person is just getting a crazy bodykit just to look cool on their car. i've come to the conclusion that people really dont care what class of car that they drive, they just want it to look good (even tho sometimes it only looks good to them) while they drive it to work and around town.
thats why i dont care about the whole show car dispute any more. every one does not have the skills to drive a fast car. i would rather have someone drive a ricer that looks fast if they dont know how to drive good.
cars are cars. they get people were thay need to go. i think after maturing a bit more, you will come to realize that cars are just means of transportation, and sports cars are for people that do more than just get from point a to point b in one piece. everyone cant drive a sports car, and im glad they dont, as long as they stay out of my way while im driving.

the front air dam hole looks sweet with the two things on it...other than that...too boxy, too big...but those two "scratch" things are a nice addition to the otherwise symmetrical style used 99.9% of the time

I see what you mean, but the more I look at it, the more it looks like a vinyl/paint thingy to me than an actual 3d opening... but maybe you're right, and it is an unusual assymmetric (spelling?) air inlet. :)

It's nice to see the Mustang in the car line-up, but the Lime Green and outrageous bodykit make for an eye-watering combination. :teary:

just not the one in this pic. IMO it's one of the best looking cars in the game, too bad it's bite is not as bad as it bark. Give us Stang fans a really kick ass car!!!!

I dont mind that front body kit on the Mustang.

But i dont agree with the Mustang verus the Corsa/Barina that just way out of class.

If anyone did that to a 2005 Mustang in these parts they would be drawn and quartered (fitting).

About the only domestic cars I have seen riced out are Pontiac Sunfires, and they look really weak too. I have seen a goofy wing-type spoiler on a Ford Probe belonging to my singer's ex-girlfriend. Yuck & 1/2 !!

I think its more a joke, more than anything, someone poking a bit of fun at the traditional mustang fans.

I'm surprised they didn't put the big Japanese vans in U2, you know, the ones with the way overdone bodykits.. ;)

oh, you mean the funny little stepwagons? those are funny, especially the ones people try to race in. I saw a video of a yellow honda capa with a body kit and rims racing some car and it won, it was funny because it was fast. That;s like turbo charging a mini van! ^_^

No, I mean those horrible big vans with the HUGE add-on bits of bodywork, and so on.. Just look up "vanning" and see some of the Japanese websites you'll find. I'm sure you'll find some of the horrific creations.

Hmmm, not sure what you mean there chris. I imagine you are referring to full-sized vans that have been all riced out? That would indeed suck.

One thing that is so cheesy that it actually leans towards "cool" is the retro 80's vans with murals on them. I would give my left nuticule for the van from the Diet Pepsi commercial featuring a mural of the hot sword-wielding wild chick with sabertooth cats on a leash, and Loverboy's "Workin' For The Weekend" playing in the background. It is sooooo cheesy that it is actually cool, heheh.

I like old school vans like bedfords with V8's in them and Panel Vans of course too, they are awsome.

But what he's talking about is like riced out Hi-aces and Tarago's yeah?

I'll post some links later for you to look at when I get back. Be sure to be seated when you look at them. You'll be speechless, trust me! ;)

It reminds me of the Lite ace van crossed with the Tarago van with a bit of corolla mixed in too.

My mate who rides motocross when he gets his p's is gonna get the front engine version hi-ace, and the stick a commodore 3.8 V6 in it cos their cheap and reliable and make some power and he doesn't care about that fact it's not refined, anythings better then the motors they come with, I mean a near 3 litre 4 cyl!

chris
10-22-2004, 05:55 AM
I wouldn't get a Hi-Ace.. If you've seen how they turn out in a front-end accident/shunt, you'd never get one. The results are horrific and very sobering.

(unless you mean the one with the longer front on it).

I'm talking about the SBV version, I couldn't remeber the name, the motocrosser call the foward control ones "leg choppers" for that reason.

I'll of course always stick to euro vans like the Transporter and Vito, but I don't like the new Vito that much.

SBV of course standing for Short bonneted vehicle.

???? what in the world????? wow, im at a loss for words (for all the wrong reasons). yuck, yuck yuck, i have bad images stuck in my head of huge vans with crazy Dragonball Z lightning style things (cant call them spoilers) coming out the back roof. what goes thu one's mind when deciding to build some thing like that? :help:

VQ- a 3 liter four cylinder? who builds that? if you know more info on it, PLEASE post it. i aint heard of nyone making 3 liter fours since porsches 968.

Toyota does build one I think in a turbo-diesel powered vehicle. It's not a bad engine, but not the greatest either, and certainly not on a par with something like the Range Rover turbo-diesel 3.0L engine.

FWD? RWD? availible in the USA?

Er, actually, it powers a very bland little 4wd utility vehicle called Hi-Lux. I don't know what Hi-Lux is supposed to mean, because the Lux certainly can't mean luxury, because Hi-Luxury certainly isn't what that thing is about.

VQ

I don't know either, but it gets sales, and thats all that matters to Toyota, I also said near 3 litre, not actually 3 litres.
