Hi there good people!
I missed you, and miss you every day of my life. I think about these forums everyday. But Paul I really really hate you. :P :D Sorry, had to say that, although I don't know what your above thread is about. I hope it wasn't anything serious.
I hope I'll be able to post more often and race online again soon. I love everything that has to do with technology, but have no access to it. :help: bummer.
For anyone who has a MOMO wheel (or any wheel I guess), here's an interesting link:
http://www.lugnutsracing.com/pedals.html
I had some problems (again) with my Momo Force pedals lately, and I bought a cleaner/lubricant for the pots.
Better now, but the accelerator pedal doesn't reach the end, u know what I mean...
If u need pots SPECIFICALLY for the MOMO Force (Maybe MOMO Racing too?), go here:
http://www.digikey.com/scripts/dksearch/dksus.dll?Pname?Name=963260-KIT-ND&site=us
When my bro had an assignment for a month in the US, there were no pots available at Digikey. :-/ I'll try to order from here I guess. I miss racing! If I can't online, then I want to race offline. :D I want to beat those AI drivers in MBWR. Already did that in PU, do u believe that?! :jawdrop: ^_^
I wish you the best,
Your friend,
Tony.

Hey Tony nice to cu back, I always enjoyed racing with you. May I ask what "technology" problem you have?
Maybe someone can use this Momo info:
My Momo Force was about to die when I opened the gas/brake compartment. There were broken plastic pieces from pushing on the gas and brake. I reinforced everything with plastic and glue and built new stops for gas and brake where they were broken. I added thin strips of wood to the bottom (in between the fastening screws to strengthen the broken plastic bottom).
I was amazed how this wheel was made. All the force put on the gas and brake made of thin plastic.
Also, I desoldiered my horn button and made it the shift button.
Everything is solid and works fine except the new horn button, which is the old shift button needs to be replaced. Pretty easy to do actually. Plastic, a good plastic glue (I used 3M, it has to kind of melt the plastic to get that welded effect), some strips of wood (I used contact cement for the wood). A Solder Wik for removing the solder from the board (where the switches were)(thanks to DrunkDrvr) and thats about it.
The first thing I do when I get my next wheel is open it up and brace the weak areas BEFORE they break. CU Tony.

Tony! Hi M8! Where have U been these past months? The moon?? :p I take it u have little internet access right now,and wheel troubles too,so I hope both those problems will soon be resolved and u can come back online with us.
If U have a copy of MBWR,that's great! The AI set @ "dynamic" will keep U on your toes! Once U get internet more often D/L IPLounge 2 beta for PU and the WR 1.66 MP patch, too. Don't forget to browse the WR forum here for info and add on cars! :D
CU soon m8

Heyya Tony...
Good to see the pink car crew, back.
You must've been hiding on Alps, up in the hills with the yeti. Hope he was a good companion.. Good to see you ventured down. 8)~

Hey DJC, Jerry, RIC!
Jerry I don't have any "technology problem". :D I just meant that I love everything new and always like to see what it is (don't have to buy it, even though it's a plus :P ). I love computers and build my PCs (and others' :D ) myself. The downside is that I don't have access to new stuff, and everything is more expensive than the manufacturer's price. Talking about access, I can't find DSL or cable access yet in Lebanon, although we're already in 2004. Some firms were going to provide wireless access a year or so ago, but the project never saw the light. There even was beta testing. I guess the government cares more about phone bills from dialup users than about the citizens themselves. I got myself 3 huge phone bills after the period when I raced with you on the EA servers. But that fun and the friends I've made then were worth more than an infinity of phone bills!
There actually are some "cable providers"... But dialup is more reliable!
Thanks for the info about the MOMO Jerry!
Hey RIC! How are you? How's your cat doing? :) Say hi from me plz. :D
The cleaner/lubricant for the pots I was talking about above is RadioShack #64-4315. It helped and I would have been able to race in MBWR (not online though unfortunately), but the deadzone settings are not like in PU. If I put the deadzone to 20% for example, the game understands it as 20% in the middle of the pedal's rotation, not on the edges. I hope I put it right. :)
Are there any custom Porsches for MBWR? Would be great! =)^
LOL Warren! I was in the Alps once, but the yeti does not live there I was told. Many tried to shoot me there, so maybe they thought I was him? :D
cu soon I guess!
Tony.

Tony, Tony, Tony ... and here comes Glottis!!!
It's soo good to hear from U* and know that U* are doing well, except with the internet stuff.
Isn't their any nice ISDN offer around?? I know that here in germany exists one by arcor which would give U* an ISDN flatrate (just not everywhere available), maybe something similar exists their in Lebanon?
Anyways, hope U*'ll come around a few more times in the future.

Mark, Dave, Mario, Chris, Rick! Thank you for the nice posts! It means a lot to me!
Good news everyone: (anybody here watches Futurama? The professor in the series there always says:"Good news everyone!" :D ) Anyway, the good news are that after being here yesterday, I couldn't bear NOT to drive, so I googled a little for a program that would let me adjust the settings of the wheel and the pedals just like in PU, but in Windows XP. I found it on the Wingman Team website. It's DXTweak 2 (http://www.wingmanteam.com/latest_software/gadgets.htm) . The deadzone setting I was talking about in PU turned out to be the calibration here. It did the trick when I set the Acc. pedal's min. to 35 instead of 0. Here's a screenshot (http://www.geocities.com/xrglottis/DXTweak2.txt)
My MOMO Force won't go past 12-13. I put 35 because I don't want to push too hard. :P
I hope no one will need this program for the same reason. :) Like the readme file says, "DXTweak will run under Windows2K and WindowsXP however, the deadzone setting will not persist", but the calibration settings DO persist. I don't need to mess with the deadzone settings anyway, I like everything supersensitive. :D
That's it. I hope I'll start a thread soon saying: "Good news everyone! ^_^ I have a T1 connection now!" =)^
Love to all,
Tony macaroni. :D

Hi DJ! :)
Still waiting. Watching the same episodes over and over and over again on Cartoon Network. :D
I was just in the IPLounge (the 2 Beta, thx Ric for the tip in that PM :) ), but couldn't find a way to join the pit! I clicked on the pit itself, then on join. PU started, then I went to MP --> P2P IP. But without an IP, how can I join? &( I tried the IP that was already there, but... "Connection Lost". I think it was there from last time?
Well anyway, maybe next time. :racer: It was Rick's pit ([SK]FR2).
See you soon my friends!
Tony.

Hi Glottis
Glad you're back.
Incidentualy  for pot cleaning, the best is NOT contact cleaner but, the ever popular WD40! 8)~

Hi OBF! Thx for the welcome back, and thx for the info! I'll be googling for the WD40, as I don't know anything about it unfortunately. I took the advice on that website (see the above link) for the contact cleaner, and I was desperate! I wanted to race, I had an urge for it! :racer: :epoke:

WOW, just happened to look at the link for the pedals. The pots look exactly like some I just bought. The ones I bought are made by CTS and have the number 295-S1064 on the back of them. They are 110,000 ohms and have a 1/4 inch diameter shaft, unthreaded bushing with the 1/2 moon flat as shown in the picture from the link Tony posted. Since I had to buy a LARGE quantity to meet the supplier's minimum purchase requirements, I have more than I need for the next few years of replacements. If anyone needs some replacements, let me know. I'll sell my extras real cheap. The shipping probably will cost more than a pair of pots.
Here is a pic of the ones I bought.
Use my new mail address, DC_Targa@yahoo.com, if you need some of these.
Cheers,
Dennis
