At a stewards hearing at Oran Park today, Steven Richards’ Castrol VY Commodore was found to be in breach of rules C2.2.2 and C3.1.1. However the outcome was pleasing for the top Holden outfit.
The hearing was in regards to apparent irregular suspension in the Castrol Commodore at Winton Raceway last round, after random scrutineering discovered a breach of rules in regards to car eleven.
However, only a $5 000 fine was imposed on Castrol Perkins Motorsport with the 150 point earned by Richards intact and allowing the Holden driver to maintain his second championship ranking going into this weekend’s round at Oran Park Raceway.
I knew they would get off it. It would have been sad giving Richo a points loss and not Ambrose.
