http://www.maybach-manufaktur.com/e/main1000.html

At this page, click the "service" link, then "downloads", then "wallpaper archive" and you'll find some very nice wallpapers for download.

Nice site too. -^ One of the better ones that I've seen in a while. Someone did a good job of the music as well.

If you are interested in the history of this brand, then this interview you may find interesting:

Particularly notice the interior of the old Maybach! A match for even todays luxury cars in terms of opulence.

I haven't been able to find some good wall papers of the Maybach. I've found some exelent sites though, with tons of high res. walls.

Here are a few that I have, probably not seen elsewhere:

The first is a collection of 1930's era Maybach advertisements for the Type 12 Zepellin "with fast gears", and the second one is a close up of a hand-rendered graphic of the Type 12 Zepellin at driving at high speed.

It could apparently do something like 170km/hr. Hardly surprising since it was powered by a huge 7.9 litre V12 engine.

wasn't the Mercedes benz Grosser a 8000 pound beast?

Hey Chris that wallpaper is great, and you learn something new every day, I did not know that the original Maybachs came from Friedrichshafen. I like the "Bergbezwinger" -^ that means "Mountainconquerer"

Alex I think the 770 Grosser were only that heavy because they were armoured.

Maybach motors powered the Graf Zeppelin air-ships as well.

And a Maybach engine also powered the "Flying Hamburger" fast rail locomotive.

I've got a few other old Maybach advertisements, and another for Auer, the coach-builder, advertising Auer coach-work on Maybach chassis. I may upload a couple of more old-advertisements in a few days.

The original Maybach company still exists, but it is now MTU Friedrichshafen.
