shuts down when minimize

maybe you can help i hope so... i have nfs5,my video card is a msi g4 128 ddr nvidia driver (up todate) when i go to minimize the game i get an error saying a problem with porsche.icd game shuts down. i have this game on other computer a cheap 32 meg tnt card and it works fine..

This is a common problem which only seems to affect Nvidia cards with the newer drivers (I have heard that the 20.89 drivers are ok with PU). I have a GeForce4 Ti4200 myself and have the same issue. Since that card is not supported by the old drivers I have to use the newer ones.

There is a work around though. You can alt-tab or use the "Windows" key to switch windows ONLY during the "loading" screen which occurs both before and after a race. Any other time will crash PU.

thanks for your help on this problem it was driving me nuts ill try what you said but i have onboard video and it works just fine...........but i hate to have a 100.00 bucks of video laying around thanks again VROOOM........nomad55
