I know FeZ will like this one. It's an Auto Motor und Sport TV test of the Enzo Ferrari, Porsche Carrera GT, and the little baby Lamborghini with "just" 500hp.

They show a bit of fast driving with the Carrera GT, but not enough! I wanted to see more of Walter Röhrl thrashing that thing around the Nurburgring Nordschliefe. What they did show looked race-car fast.

Same with the Enzo Ferrari. I'd like to see what that car can do with a race-driver at the wheel.

Still you might like it. The video quality is quite good, as is the sound quality.

But here are technical details of all the cars:

Enzo Ferrari:
6 litre V12, 48 valves
660hp@7800rpm
660Nm@5500rpm
8200rpm rev-limit
0-100km/hr in 3.5 seconds
over 350km/hr top speed
6 speed electro-hydraulic transmission
1300kg weight
Also features variable assistance traction control system.
€645,000

Porsche Carrera GT:
5.7 litre V10, 40 valves
612hp@8000rpm
590Nm@5750rpm
8400rpm rev-limit
0-100km/hr in 3.9 seconds
338km/hr top speed
6 speed manual transmission
1390kg weight
€$452,000

Lamborghini Gallardo:
5.0 litre V10, 40 valves
500hp@7800rpm
510Nm@4500rpm
8100rpm rev-limit
0-100km/hr in 4.0 seconds
309km/hr top speed
6 speed manual transmission, or 6 speed sequential
1390kg weight
€140,000

Thatz a lot of horsepower, from wat I ahve read, the Gallardo is faster and more nimble and stuff then the Murcilago, I read that from Motor when it was first relesed and they tested it in Italy.

The Gallardo should be more nimble too, since it is smaller, but around a race-track, it is slower. Around Imola the Murciélago is quicker than Gallardo.

I mention Imola, because it's not really a horsepower track, but more a handling track these days with tamburello redesigned and 2 chicanes put in. (That was done after the Senna tragedy in 1994).

Here is a comparison of the two, in lap times and speeds:

The Gallardo is faster or equal in some places, yet the overall lap time is slower. Strange that.

Fantastic -^

Shame they did not show more of the trackaction.
I wonder if the Gallardo is quicker around the track than the Enzo

I usually miss AM&S TV and when I see it they test the new Japanese Microcars and not Exotics :)

As much as I love Lamborghini, I have to admit that I doubt the Gallardo is quicker than the Enzo Ferrari around a lap of the Nordschliefe.

Enzo is simply too light, and too powerful. It's like +160hp, and the torque is +150Nm, and the weight is less. Enzo is a civilised race-car, Gallardo is just a nice sporty little car.

That Carrera GT is something amazing. It has similar power/weight ratios to the Pagani Zonda S 7.3, but the Zonda is nowhere near the lap-times of the Porsche. It is I think a bit more expensive than the Pagani, but the performance appears worth it.

Occasionally AM&S TV shows some interesting or wierd cars, like the Mosler MT900, just reviewed recently. I was going to record it, but since the test was done in the USA, the driving was done in a very conservative way, so it wasn't too interesting. =[

Yes that Carrera GT is something else

Have you seen the video of an American guy in a Mustang chasing 2 Carrera GTs on the Autobahn. Its about 6 minutes and 30 MB, kind of scary stuff as he is going quite fast and holding the camera in one hand. His comments are quite funny.

Enzo is simply too light, and too powerful.

is there a such thing?:D
i notice the enzo is the only car with a tcs, maybe that keeps it from putting all the power it can during acceleration and during some turns where it might be oversteering a little bit.

cobra r's are fast no doubt, but they wont catch a carrera gt, well, not in stock trim anyways. cobra r's are about as fast as supras. cobra r's-13.2, supra tt-13.0 or 13.1, dont remember exactly

are you talking about the stock supra, the turbo one with 300 or so odd hp? or a souped up one?
