Now, I know that's just my opinion, this man put way too many body modications on his Altima.

That is not an example of what I like, it's more of tasteless ricer, it is amongst the worst 2002+ Altima's I've seen. If you were to like it, I have nothing against you, it's just not my style.

That's pretty nasty too. :nono:
I think that all nissans are overdone, like they shoudl have stopped at the design process LOL but they are bad and the second one does not look like a Maxima I know of.

The cars look good stock. Just the outrageous bodykits and spoilers they put on them make them ugly.

Those body-modifications are not nice at all.
They give a bad name to all the good looking Nissans built.
The company actually has some really good looking cars:

That might be one of the racing models, but, it is very good looking. Having seen a few R390's in real life, I can confirm how good-looking they really are. The long-tailed models look especially good.
Only thing better is this red road version:
http://www.mcarsweb.com/nissan/r390gt1c.jpg
Or the blue one I was lucky enough to see close-up. Getting in and out of them is quite a task. You'd want to be very athletic to do it quickly. The engine noise is quite unbelievable. It's hard to describe, but definately very loud.
Just hope Nissan puts that great looking GTR concept into production:

The side profile is very elegant, but at the same time gives the impression of agression, and brutality.
I was joking about they shoud have stopped, but they dont'come up with ne thign original to me, they just copy the Europeans.

the Altima looks ok, cause i do think that its "overdone", but the Maxmia is well overdone.
I think the Maxmia looks very nasty, and should at least be bought back to its original design

exactly how does nissan copy euro designs? the cedric, president, cima, silvia, 200sx, 180sx, all model skylines except r30, bluebird, NX, well, most of their car designs seem original to me. now honda on the other hand, they some real bad copiers. look at the new accord coupe's rear. hmm, kinda says Benz to me. u can easily mistake a acoord coupe for a benz from the rear easily these days. the nsx looks like some type of ferrari or lambo or something.
the first maxima is ok except for the front bumper and the 19 inch koenig rims. he should have gone for 17 inch buddy clubs or something more stylish and not gaudy

Those cars look fully sick, har har. With all that plastic and wheels they probably way 200kg more than standard, thus dulling perofmance and fuel efficiency. Should have spent the money on the engine and make it a sleeper so you can blast people at the lights instead of posing in those tarted up rice burners.

I'm not talking about the exterior, I'm taking aobut the gadgets and engines, they wait till the euro's make em then they make a new one which is better then the euros and with their cheap labour can sell it a lot cheaper then everywhere else could ever hope to do.

So what engines and technology did Nissan copy from Euro car makers? Specifically? )=)
off the top of my head, the audi qautrro had 4wd and Twin turbo and a couple yhears later Nissan had the GT-r,

Hmm, I suppose so, but everyone does 4wd and turbos. It's not the sort of thing that a company gets patents on I don't think.
But then again, patents are another topic altogether, and you could write pages and pages on the silly/stupid patents that have been granted, then shortly after cancelled after protest from others.
I remember when someone tried to patent the hyperlink! Then the single-click ordering process.. Crazy. But not to corporate executives who see patents as a valuable tool in the fight against opposition companies. )=)

i agree. i guess to some people "style" is more important than having a fast car. but then again, not every one has the balls to drive a fast car^_^ :D

GT-R's were originaly made in 1969, so did audi have 4wd and turbo's in 1965?
Umm, the only GT-r's worth knowing about are the R32 onwards GT-r's the rest were jsut shitty little Datto's which were rwd and had carby motor's, no turbos no nothing, but the Jenson was the one with AWD, Mechanical ABS and a lot of other stuff in the 60's but they cost twice the amount of a 911 or soemthing and didn't sell that well of course.

?????? they didnt have 911's till the 70's, and even now, a good one is worth about as much as a r34, which is half the price of a 911.
and subaru had awd and turbo's before Audi, but like chris said, awd and turbo's have been around for a while, and no one really "copied" it from someone else

911's arrived in 1965, in a 2.0 litre rear-wheel-drive coupé.
AWD first appeared on a 911 somewhere around the late 1970's or early 1980's. That was when the first prototype 4wd 911 was built. It went on sale as a Carrera 4 in 1987 (or near that date).
On 4wd, and who did it, I think I remember someone who did a 4wd car in the 1920's or 1930's. ;)

Ferdinand Porsche designed one of the first 4x4 trucks in 1900. A dutch company called Spyker built the first 4x4 car in 1902 followed by Daimler Benz in 1903. A little earlier then Subaru;)
As I said, jsut off the top of my head, in the 70's Japenese cars were still a joke and people laughed when u siad they would be the top selling car and now sadly because of neglet by the American company's it had happened.

haha, heres the real deal on why japenese cars are so popular based on my assumption
1 cheap (compared to most other cars)
2 realiable (hardly any v8 or whatnot)
3 lots of people willing to work for less in asia compared to america
those are the most important reasons
PS- only reason it took some 30 years (for the most part), one, is because of change, 2, because of getting people accepting it, 3 and because of simplicity, eg the beetle and mini.
