asking for cd

i've been playing SCGT without the cd for quite a while now and now its asking for the cd. i had the option set for no music/sound. for me this allowed me to play SCGT without the cd.
currently my cd doesn't work and now i can't play scgt.
will get a new cd-rom soon, but is there a way i can play it without the cd? ...a setting in some file or something?

will this file help the v8 supercars patch i get the same thing when try to run it with the V8 supercar patch... and i own an original CD

The sound option has no affect on whether or not you need the disc...you need to rerun which ever ban-scene patch you had before...if that doesn't fix it then there is a problem with a recent addon...or you have gone over the 64 track limit...and to fix that you need Reggies track manager.

check for any recent installs that may have included a new scene-mas file

whats the limtit on number of cars as hard as i try i cant seem to get more then 4 patched in

i've been trying to get about another 6 or so cars in :p

different tracks have different car limits (dunno how)

Most tracks handle a fair few cars, but they do have different max car levels

i downloaded all the street cars off ausie muscle but i cant buy them... they arent in the list of cars in the game... btw when is the ausie muscle sit going to bring out all those cars that are suposed to be coming soon!

well we've just had to do a format thanks to a trojan that managed to creep onto the system, so i'll be re-installing SCGT.

Problem is I cant find track manager anymore :(

Anyhoo if shane or someone does V8 Supercar skins for V8C i'll ask for permission and if granted I'll chuck them onto the SCGT meshes (which I have to ask kev for permission as well) and offer them as a 2004 car set, or at least bring them out one by one.
