Its well Know about Jerry and his Love for Porsches... He has a Huge Collection...

He usually gets tickets because of illegal parking, or not feeding the meter... But usually the Paparazzi pays the fines for him lol. ^_^

I like watching Seinfeld, I used ot aviod it but recently I started watching it cos nothign else was on this holidays. Itz pretty funny at times.

Is that THE 917 sold to Solar Productions by Porsche AG?

Or is it just some anonymous 917 painted in the famous (because of Steve McQueen) #20 JWA colour scheme.

The real car if I'm not mistaken was 917 chassis #022, and it can be identified properly by the special camera mounts in the drivers foot-well. They were installed for the filming of the Le Mans movie, and are still there.

I'm envious of these lucky people who are so lucky to have a 917. That is probably one of my favourite race cars. :)

With the amount of cash Seinfeld raked in per episode, I am sure he could afford the real McCoy. If it ever did go on sale, rest assured he bought it, and that is the true unit there.

About the show, I loved it. I still watch reruns, but by far, Kramer is the star of that sitcom, not Jerry Seinfeld. Second would have to be good ol' George, he is pitifully funny!

These days just about every 917 is Gulf coloured and #20, or wth Salzburg colours and number 23.. :rolleyes:

Regardless, they are still amazing. One like that, from 1970, could do 360km/hr.

I have seen the #20 in lots of pictures, I think Kreigspeil made one for NFS4 on nfscars.com.

I retextured it with his permission and made it the #2 917K 4.5L (the one sitting in the Porsche Museum in Germany)
