View Full Version : Ford Focus Rally Car Crash Sepecat 01-21-2004, 09:40 AM Here is clip of a Ford Focus crashing….Its 7 seconds long. specat.nfscity.com/Ford Focus Rally Car.mpg Does anyone know what happened to the Driver, I hope he is ok….. No idea who/where that was but it did not look like a WRC just more like some local rally somewhere :confused: EDIT: From the trees I would say it is Europe. I cannot read any of the sponsor stickers or the numberplate, but somehow the plate looks a bit Nordic (white with big black letters), trees would also fit that area. It was either Colin McRae or Carlos Sainz who had that accident, cant remember where tho... :confused: Just checking which driver now *edit* From a blurred blue helmet i can see in 1 close shot, i'd say its Colin 'crash' McRae --- Actually, after looking at it frame by frame, it doesnt looks quite like the 2001 livery, so could possibly be someone else... *inspects further* DJC :racer: Justin Martin 01-21-2004, 04:20 PM That's not a Focus, the roofline, headlights, and taillights are wrong. Notice that the taillights aren't on the c-pillars, and the headlights are not the triangle shaped Focus headlights. They're shaped more like those on an Opel Astra, which I don't think this is. I'm not really sure what it is, other than it's not a Focus. Like Fez said, it's probably a local rally, not a WRC event.
