Fire Trucks…

I thought I take a video of the Fire Trucks go by… This two trucks had Sirens on… I think one of the trucks had Chains on as well… Since the roads aren’t in the best of conditions right now….

First Clip is I believe is Engine 12 or 13… Its usually one of this two…. The other one I am 100% sure is Ladder 7…

Remember to Turn Up the Volume… :D

Rob and others:

You will need WMP 9.0 then WMP will download a Sharp Codec for the Audio....

Yes, Tammy is right. I can't download a new version of Winamp George. I need to keep 2.9 because it is the only player that is blind people friendly with special scripts.

Monaro - yep WMP is Windows Media Player (as you said) (can you view video footage in Winamp now?)

It played fine for me, d/l the codec as suggested and works fine Windows Media Plaer 9.0 in Windows 2000

George - I must say being involved in fire service and being around trucks almost every weekend or when I have spare time makes me realise how different they all are-^ Thanks for that

some other things I forgot

where are they going in the snow^_^ That looks so funny, although I have been at the "snowy mountains" for a bushfire during summer, we we're at a snow ski sort of place and it looked funny all black from fire and stinking hot^_^

Is it the same video you sent me last night? Nice little trucks. :)

Now where are the sports car videos?
I have a few in my possession... Just wait till I unveil my nfscity... It's content is more important than how it looks. Coz I'm having trouble building it :p And lack the time and effort.. Too excited for my holiday this weekend.

I wouldn't mind going to a near by garage, and getting some videos of a F40 replica car.
www.f40.co.nz

I saw this car... Try some videos on the site.. cool car, turbo, with blow off valve. :D

Also at this car show yesterday, there were over 2,000 other muscle/sports cars. I just happened to walk around the corner, when a Ford GT40 started up.. And starting revving... Oh baby, I got some videos of that. :D

Ps. Does anyone know good video compression software from .mpg (raw from camera file), into a smaller file, or wmv or whatever.
And also, I want the video into just a audio mp3 file. Is this possible? Coz a 15Mb 1min long video is too much to upload. But a 500Kb mp3 wouldn't be too bad.

Use the Windows Media toolkit from Microsoft. It's free, and works quite well, especially with a camera connected to the computer via i.Link

Don't know why I read Winamp for WMP. I have media player 9 but the links still don't work for me. Winamp2.9 has video player also. alt + v should bring up the video player.

Is that a downloadable file, or with XP?

I have Windows Movie Maker..From what I can see here, no options to resize from 640x480 to 320x240.. And nothing to change sound quality.

Download from Microsoft website.

The file is called WMEncoder.exe and will be 9.45mb according to the version I have sitting on my PC at the moment.

Yeah seems too many people tried downloading the two clips… Damn Geocities….

Btw, the links works now…

monaro

The First Clip wasn’t hurried… I heard the sirens for a good minute, before I pressed Record…. I just cut the clip after the Truck passed my place…

The second yes was hurried… I had turned of the Camera, and then heard the sirens from the Ladder Truck… So it was rushed, and I got distracted, so that explains the sloppiness of the Vid…

Y2kGoofball

I don’t know where the trucks were going.. This time I didn’t have the Scanner on, so I don’t know what the call was about…. Also they came back 5 minutes later…

Are you a Volunteer Firefighter?

Btw, I ought to point out that you don't click on the links, you copy them and open URL in Windows Media Player (it will download the codec for you)...
