Yep,

I can play as loud as i WANT on my stereo no matter what time of day.

It's 5.30 A.M sunday morning, I have a 2x80 Denon amplifier, and I play at 40% volume, I play a brand new CD with great sound, I have "stud" speakers (Dali, 200W), I live in a wooden building
This is repay for never complaining at neighbours nachspiel's, we have a "silent" agreement in the house; "party is allowed when needed" :D
My neighbourhood is known as the only "real" soccer-supporters in our country, if you know what that takes, LOL

Life is good :)

You're very lucky Mads. :)

My neighbours about 40 metres away are very annoying.. Often I would be playing music on my dads PC speakers, at about 1/2 volume and they would come knock at the door and complain... At 4pm on a Saturday afternoon. " My paintings are vibrating, and will soon crash to the floor"...
Yet my house, the music wasn't that loud, no vibrations.. must have travelled a long way, before the low frequencies have an effect. ?! :P

Where I live, my neighbors are all so cool that I could literally hold a concert in my backyard, and about the only complaint would come from someone who wasn't invited! :D

And on the left of my house is a couple in their 40's, they dont notice me playing my music as their always drunk^_^

Hand your neighbor a hammer and good-quality picture hangers..

Depends on what your definition of LOUD is, perhaps?

...huh, what'd U say?

Well this was on PC speakers..2 satellite speakers and a sub.. Boston brand.

It's more fun when I use the home entertainment system. My 21st isn't too far off.. I wouldn't mind having a party ,and playing it rather loud and piss everyone off :p

My neighbors are too far away to hear my stereo. :D :HB:

That's why get a house, im going to have it custom built so that the walls are soundproof to the outside and i'll put a surround sound speaker system that covers the WHOLE house so I can play really loud music and speakers in every room and not have anyone hear out outside. That's pimp..

But right now, the neighboors get mad if I put my speakers even a 1/4 (my speakers are quite powerful :p i got subwoofers n stuff)

:Peace:

When I'm trying to study and my desk is shaking so hard that I have to hold my book down, or I'm trying to sleep and my bed frame is rattling, i'm not very cool about stereo noise at all.:AAAHHH:

Baritone, you go to VPI (aka Virginia Tech)?!? My brother, father and grandfather are all alumni of that fine institution :) Guess I'm the black sheep.

Yes, and right now i'm sitting in my room in Pritchard Hall (ask them if they know of it).

Edit: And the neighbor's got his music on, but I won't complain unless he turns on his subwoofer and cranks it up.

I live int he backyard, in a bungalo and have a 4 speaker, one sub Juster brand stereo, I have it on 25% (half way on the dial and half on the comp) and I can hear is well fromt he house which is about 5 metres away formt he edge and 20 to the door, I play heavy rock a lot and no on ever complains, one side is a couple in their 20's one works at home and the husband is a shift worker, they put on them solid roller shutter before I moved out there and they have never compalined, My other nieghbors, they listen to loud music too, mainly rap thos and from thier teenage son couple years older then me, so whenever they have a party, I just turn up the rock I'm listening to and can't feel the bass of thier music any more.

The only complaints I get are from my parents cos of the bass.

My neighbours haven't complained about my music. I play it usually at only a quarter of the volume of the stereo. Which is PLENTY loud. I"m running a 330W Philips C577 (165W x2) Stereo with USB hookups connected to the pc so i can play mp3s without burning cds. My one neighbour plays his music loud. And just now since i got my stereo, he's been getting revenge for all those years of picture shaking bass! And my other neighbours. I think they're in their late 20's maybe early 30's with a young son, so i usually turn it down around 9ish just incase he's in bed by then... But 1/4 volume is plenty with this stereo. Setting it to half would bring my shelves down! As it is now i can hear things inside the wall shaking from the bass at 1/4 volume. And it's got a really nice amp built into it that gets turned on with the push of a button and enhances the music SOOO perfectly. Every little beat that normally isn't heard to well with the amp off is enhanced perfectly. I can't listen to music without the amp on. Just sounds so different without it.
