Sometime around 0100 we were getting in bed, when all of a sudden we heard a Big Bang. Either is a Crash, or tree or something Fell. It was REALLY Loud. I went to the window and couldn’t see shit. But I know it happened on the street we live on… I first thought maybe a Car or Truck collided… Or a Truck struck a building or something…

I looked a number of times and nothing, as to what made the sound. Sometime later we hear a number of Emergency Services Vehicles. Heard a number of Police Cars, Ambulances and Fire Trucks go by.

When I saw the Police and others were stopped at the same block, I then started wondering what it really made the sound. It seems like a 911 Response. (Someone dialed 911 and usually then the Police the Fire and Medical respond at once) Then a police car blocked the traffic off at the intersection.

Now I knew something really big took place. The cop was diverting traffic for a good 30 minutes. Then I thought I take a photo of the Cop Car. It can only be taken with Night Pix on. So I got the camera in hand and looked straight to were the Police car was parked.

By the time I was all set to take the pic, the Cop decided to put Flares down. So he laid down 4 flares. It covered two lanes, and the Cop left from the intersection, and went a bit further down the road to where the Crash/Sound came from.

So I did take a pic of the flares lol. I also have a very small clip of the Cop Car. But it is nothing really. :D

I hope whatever it was could be visible tomorrow morning. If it is I’ll try to take some pics. But I think the scene has been cleared already because The Cops in last 15 minutes have cleared out. I also don’t see any Flashing Lights….

That's because you were in the wrong room. Perhaps you should have tried the bathroom?

Interesting.. Never any accidents near my place. Strange, considering I live on the end of a cul-de-sac :p

Anyway, here's a little story that happened on Thursday.

A girl from a Westpac branch nearby (I work for Westpac :p), she was fired for fraud and theft, and arrested on theft charges or whatever. She was 18 years old..

Later that day, after being released from questioning (as petty theft isn't a huge offence), she got in her car... Drove up North a bit. Drove straight underneath a big petrol tanker at speed.
The petrol tanker fortunately was empty and didn't explode. The truckie was in a moderate condition in hospital on Thursday night. She was airlifted, VIA the WESTPAC Rescue helicopter back to Auckland Hospital, in a critical condition... She later died that night... Irony? I thought it was crazy. Feel sorry for the truckie, who almost had his life taken with hers...

On Jan 8, 2004, i heard perhaps the worst new i had ever heard in a long time. tragic story really. I was going on a ski trip with my physics class, we departed the school at about 8:30 in the morning. Had a nice day of skiing. About 5 mins after we got back to the school i see one of my friends balling her eyes out, i didnt know why, i went over and i asked. I was shocked to hear, that 2 friends of mine, since Gr. 8, had died in a car accident earlier that day. One of the girls was supposed to be on the trip with us, she wasa supposed to be on the trip. I had known these girls for 5 years. Good friends of mine.

When we originally departed from the school we noticed that there was an unusual amount of trffic on the roads, and that people were taking detours, but we didnt figure anything like this would happen. The story is that they lost control of the car, slid into oncomming traffic, then got hit on the passenger side by an SUV. Patricia (passenger) never even had a chance. i dont know if i can find any pictured of the accident, but their car, a pontiac grand am, was virtually split in half. The passenger seat... was ejected from the car. :'(
Here's the story.

Well, i havent gone through a loss like this for a long time, and in my previous experience with a death of a relative, i was too young to really understand what happend. This struck me hard, it'll take a while for me to get over. I can still see their faces, and the car. I keep wondering, what if it wasnt an SUV that hit them... i think it would have made a difference. At first i found it unbelievable, then i went to the viewings before the funeral, and i suppose i got some closure, but i still have trouble believing thet they are actually gone. I seriously thought that the girls would just wake up at the viewing and ask why everyone was crying.

i would write more but i have a lot of work to finish, need cheer up b4 i get 2 it, maybe another time.

Good luck again mate.

I've only really had one loss which was terrible for me.
About 6-7 years ago, my best friend at the time... Was involved in a crash with a 4x4. He had just finished a holiday for his brothers birthday and on the way home there was a head on smash. Himself, and his 3 other family members were instantly killed. The other vehicle received only minor-moderate injuries. Not life threatening.

It was hard for me to get over.. School had just broken up for the Xmas break. What a nice Xmas present. :'(

Just shows life can go by really quick, so make every opportunity, to make it a great one. :)
