Picked up Underground tonite, and while I was paying my nearly $60 Cdn. @ Walmart, the girl behind the counter told me that EA was not going to reissue Underground after the initial run. Has anyone else heard this? Just wondering.

P.S. EA sent me an email asking me to take a survey regarding future games. It got to racing games and it asked me how iI felt about a racing game where you get to shoot at your opponents. Hmmm, that sounds familiar. I hope thats not what they are planning for the next NFS.( I obviously said I was not interested)
Anyone else get that email??

A rolling shooter? Grand Theft Auto for kids? It may be well and good, but it won't be Need For Speed. Is the NFS department at EA having an identity crisis?

If that is true, it sounds like EA is not having much success selling NFSU. I haven't bought it. I don't know if I will. From what I heard the online play kinda sucks.

IMO, PU was the "Pacman" of NFS. It was great to play. No matter how good you got, the subtle mistakes you made convinced you you would do better the next run. It didn't take an hour... 15 minutes... but just 3 mins or so to complete a race. Online was comfortable. It was a bit buggy but turned out to be a fantastic interface to make friends around the world. An ultimate "interactive" experience! After you won it all offline, you could go online and find out how much more PU had to offer.

Not a sim, but not arcade... Fun to drive and fun to be frustrated with. A game for old folks and kiddies. Somthing anyone who cared to play it would soon realize... Regardless of how old or young we are, when we grow up we will cherish the opportunity that PU gave to make friends world wide, and dream of the day that we would be able to sit behind the wheel of a real Porsche and tell the world...

Oh well, WTHWEAGTHOFTA?

That Figures , if its True . I always thought the Powers to be at EA have gone off the Deep End . Here TODAY , Gone TOMORROW . I think their CEO is a NUT !
