=(( why is it gone?

I cant believe it, Speedsims had awesome cars and patches not just for SCGT but everything

Ah well, looks like we may have to end up doing a V8 Supercar patch after all ;)

eh? wtf this is indeed bad news. its quite fortunate for me then that i've gotten what i could from speedsims. gone forever, nah i don't think so it will return even in the smallest of company. anyways i've got the v8supercar online thing. i just have to find a volunteer to upload it for me.

anyways thanks for the headsup

i dont think we will be doing that.

All it was was cars and tracks ripped off from authors.

The V8 Brute meshes were Aussie Muscle meshes (and he is aware of this) however he failed to recieve acknowledgement. The VY and BA meshes are AM V8C meshes, but the AU and VX are from V8C (so not ours)

The Konica skins were Aussie Muscles, as was the Utes skins, once again no acknowledgement to him.

The tracks were used without authors permission.

The only guys who got thanked were those who either helped find the stuff or those who submitted work, some of which wasnt even theirs and to be honest this pisses me off when people bundle together other peoples work and take the thanks without even trying to mention who did the hours of work.

However I do think this has opened the opportunity for RP to complete a V8 Supercar mod, a proper mod this time. I had planned on doing ione but then this Ozmod come out, which I figured why have 2, then when I downloaded it I found out I had everything this mod did anyway (i.e. cars and tracks).

We were going to do a fictional bathurst 24 hout type thing but we may divert that and work on a 2004 SCGT V8 mod then move back onto bathurst 24 hour type stuff.

yeah fair enough. you might want to look into f1challenge 99-02 thats a pretty good game and is completely modable......the v8supercars aren't much use to me anyways. i've already got a good set from my good friend and i'll use those for my purposes.....good luck with the mod.:look:

thanks mate-^

Its strange now but, because their looking for a host all of a sudden they are happy to research the creators of the skins and meshes (especially when they were made by a Racerplanet member and hint hint they need proper hosting on a decent server ;) ) and give them credit

Funny how the world works, and no I am not going to pretend I never said this as thats how it looks to me

well i really don't know what to think about this whole speedsims thing. you would have thought they would have planned for something like this. as for this whole credit thing i'm not going to get into it. i've just recieve an email from a rather disgruntled person and i can't say i blame him.

i apologise then man, its not your problem, it is what I think to myself and it doesnt represent what we're all thinking.

As for the credit thing I couldnt be bothered going any more further. It does anger me that Speedsims closed just like that which has left them now looking for hosting, I just think its ironic that now because speedsims has closed the next best thing is hosting by Racerplanet, but at the same time we are sort of mentioning here that Kev recieved no thanks for it, which it is my understanding they are attempting to "fix that".

I am just trying to stick up for whats right, on the same token I accept they are trying to fix it to get back into our good books because they need hosting.

I will warn you but I wont be uploading the Ozmod, well not yet anyway as I refuse to waste 46.5 MB on an upload which counts towards our overall monthly cap.

Towards the end of the month if its not already done I will upload it depending on our usage.

As for angry emails if anyone wants to say anything to me about it come and talk to me, not complain to those whose problem and opinions this isnt.

My email is y2kgoofball@totalnfs.net in case you want it anyone.

lol what you did right there is exactly what a good moderator should do and thats not get into petty fights with people over nothing important lol. after all its just the net.....ugh i just realised how stupid"another discussion" was.

anyways my friend is none too happy because people are accusing him of not giving credit where credit was due which is unfair. i don't really care for speedsims anymore....if they can't stay in one place well bugger em....the speedsims of old was cool but then it got full of BS. anyways...enough of this idle chitchat i've gotta finish my hqmod for another game..that i've been editing for 2 years or more.

good day gentleman.
