Anyone interested in a SCGT based online race (or racing or competition?)
Maybe even just a fun race. I dont know how to do it but it can be done
So, race anyone?

I am not sure if this is still alive, but I once considered it:

ive only had a quick looksy but thats looks like an online championship?
If we had enough interest from Racerplanet members I would hold a SCGT competition.
I would still love to get a Bathurst 24 Hour mod off the ground as it had many different cars and classes from around the world, and would be perfect for online racing as its the 1 track and 3 or 4 different classes
Thanks for the links-^

There are a number of groups currently holding online racing for SCGT. One is:
http://groups.yahoo.com/group/the_trophycup/
We race on Friday and Saturday evenings. We meet in the chat room. Drop in and take a look around.
Our races are about 15 and 30 minutes. We're all too old to think about running a 24 hour race. <grin>
We're using the V8 Supercars, Konica cars and Utes. The mod can be D/L'ed from Speedsims. It's comprised of four 11.6 MB files. Here are the links:

The SCGT forum there is very useful and recommended. You'll find references to other SCGT series.

Another site is Race Sims Central, although the SCGT forum there hasn't been very active lately. See the GammaWorx announcements.
RSC is also a good forum for all racing sims and mods. Check it out.

If you want to start your own series, I'd rcommend starting a Yahoo club as a meeting place.
Hosting a race is easy, but it does require broadband (cable or DSL). A 56K host is limited to one other racer.
Good luck,

thanks for all that info, I must say that V8 mod isnt what I expected, its just everyones work piled into one mod and its all over the place (like since when was there 2 #16 cars in 2003? According to this mod there was #16 of Paul Weel and #16 of Steven Richards (which was a VY!!!), or the GRM cars are both VY's etc^_^ )
I was hoping to setup a Racerplanet online community but thats going to be a struggle as no one plays the game
hav - although not what I will discuss in public but you need to use the No CD link. If you run the OzMod from the link they put on the desktop you shouldnt have problems
