On the news right now, they says Saddam Hussein is arrested.

Interesting to see if the "clima" changes in the conflicts from now on.

I just watched news, and they had pictures and videos, and Bush did his officially speech.

According to international law, Iraq has the rights to take him to court. Right now Saddam is moved out of Iraq, probably to USA.
The international court of human rights cannot handle cases who goes back before 2002, and the occupying country cannot do the court.
So the the world has to make a new international court to solve this particular juridical issue.

So long as that tyrant can't torture people anymore, for now that's good enough. Obviously he does need to face the consequences for his actions, but at least we have gotten him to a point where we can finally put him to justice and everyone can feel secure, not only in Iraq but all over the world.

In the mean time, while he is awaiting trial, they should toss him in General Population in San Quentin for holding. )=)

LoL , that Pic of Saddam being Captured on the News kind of reminded me of Charlie Manson . So now the Question is .. who is gonna get to Fry his Arse ? the Iraqi's , the US Gov. , The Brits , the Saudi's , the Quwait's , Or will his Trial Last for 5 Years with Allen Derkowitz Defending him with a Insanity Defense ? Stay Tuned for the DRAMA ! ;)

I'm a little saddened by the vids of Saddam's capture and medical exam. I know they were necessary as evidence to the world that he was indeed in military custody, but my own sense of who I want us to be as a nation, and a species for that matter, tells me we should give the guy a chance to put some gel in his hair before we go to picture.

That's a war over there. That's the president. He supposedly identified himself as such upon capture. Whatever war crimes or crimes against humanity he may be guilty of, the broadcast of those vids were in violation of how I'd like my military to conduct itself, and perhaps in violation of the Geneva convention.

Something from Richard II (IIRC) Those who do battle with monsters should be wary of becoming monsters themselves.

I noticed someone from one of the so called terrorist organisations supposedly fighting for the Palestinians grumbling about that very thing with the TV footage of Saddam after he'd been captured.

But the same person seemed strangely mute when Saddams lot did the same to others.

Good riddance to Saddam. The Iraqi people look happy enough to see him gone.
