whats with aussie post

On thrusday aussie post had a 24 hour strike by the parcel handlers
I got a email about 3.30 thrusday arvo that my new wheel had been sent know I didn't expect till at least tueday but it got here friday less 24 hrs .I think they should sack the lot that went on strike and keep the guys that filled in for them they seem to get the job done a lot better :p

on the subject of the new wheel it is a hell of alot better quailty than the MSFF now I just have learn to use the bugga ^_^

We just had a similar 12-hour postal strike protesting against the sacking of people at many companies even though the companies in question are making profit.. I'm also waiting for some package :( . Employees at many other companies had a 15-minute pause in work too for the same reason.

Hey Neil, it just means fewer people to handle the parcels which speeds up the processing :D

As far as I know the strike was only in N.S.W. but I agree that if things ran smoother during the strike they should sack the usual (permanant) staff. Bugger it, shoot 'em anyway.
For a letter from two suburbs (10 minutes) away it takes five days to deliver. For a letter within the same suburb I live in it takes three days to deliver. To send a letter over 1,000 milkes away (to Victoria) it takes only two days to deliver. :why: Go figure.
This is time after time, year after year, not during postal strikes.
That parcel you got from me on Friday was only sent on Wednesday. Not bad going for normal postage.

Hmm. It took less than a day for this packet to arrive from some 200km away here.. And 2-3 days from UK for some other package.
