now I know what its called BS ^_^

Seriously I am trying to create a brand new loading screen for game V8 Challenge. Of course being a EA Sports game naturally they use the .bik (Bink) video format.

I have created the new iin an audio file. Now when you play this new file in BS it has audio and video, same if you double click it on the desktop. In game however it has video only, no audio.

I was wondering if anyone can HELLP:confused:

I tried everything, mixing the audio and video at the creation of the AVI, leaving the AVI soundless and mixing the audio at Binking, doing both NO LUCK

HELLP^_^

I shouldne be fixing an EA game anyways but if I'm going to do it I might as well do it with some wow features

You sure that it is compressed in the right way using the RAD video tools?

I've done similar stuff for F12002 (also uses Bink video) and it worked fine. Although I did new video as well as new sound.

Check the settings for a standard one included with the game, and use the same settings. That's all I can offer for advice.

wait a minute, you masy have put me onto something

My new file I want to use (the one w/o sound)

Track ID 0: 44100KHz, 16 bit, Stero sound data.

However, the original

Track ID 0: 44100KHz, 16 bit, Stero sound data (Old format).

I wonder if this has something to do with it and if so how the heck do I change it to "old Format"

edit> dont mind me

How do you create a Bink audio stream using the old audio codec format (for use with applications using an old version of Bink)? To do this, just add 100 to the compression level in the compressor or mixer. For example, instead of level "4", use level "104".

Just converting now, hopefully that solves it.

Thanks Chris for putting my brain into top gear and get me thinking to compare the old and the new and see whats diff:beer:
