Well I have just been made aware of this fact, Monaroman68 will be taking over Apocalypse's SCGT page on Aussie Muscle, which is always a good sign.

Monaroman does an excellent job on skinning (or making add on V8 Supercars) for SCGT, to be honest he's the only one that does it from my knowledge, and we would like to welcome him to the Racerplanet community (although he has been here for a while) and hope to see him in here both keeping up to date with us and keeping us updated with him

Project Blueprint

Well 2004 will see the third Project Blueprint Patch, the first time it's walked out side of V8 Challenge. I have chosen SCGT for a few reasons, mostly due to SCGT's gaming engine and the fact once we know what we are doing we could make a pretty awesome patch, just like V8 Challenge.

This doesnt mean I am walking away from V8 Challenge completely, there will also be a 2004 V8C patch brought out so busy times for early 2004:D

Online Racing

I will be setting up some pretty intense online racing for all Racerplanet SCGT members. This wont be your average 5 lap online "championship", this will be full endurance racing at its best, as SCGT is an enduro race game, where our skills as drivers, car controllers and friends will be tested out in endurance racing at some of Australia's best tracks

More on this will be released early 2004

PBP : SCGT patch team

I will be looking at making a team of interested people, so far a few from the V8 Challenge PBP patch have offered their help, so if you think you can learn stuff quickly and have a talent in something that could help a mod team let us know

That about wraps it up for the sec, I will be busy down at the V8 Challenge forum until that patch is done, and I will then pop up here on a regular basis to get things underway

This patch, should make SCGT the closest video game related to the real V8 Supercars - due to the Enduro option and the fact that you have to setup your car just to be competitive.

im looking forward to the SCGT patch

ah yes, another point as SCGT has the enduro option, which if we could get some excellent looking graphics in there would make it just that bit sweeter

I always like to leave the original cars in the game. So I like to have different SCGT exes for the different classes of cars I download. I have HTCC cars (60s) so I have a patch that has the HTCC division (touring car patch) which still leaves the regular cars on the main sport car GT program instead of droping them in the GTQ-GT1 series.
Loading screens: might want to look at these.
Tracks: a lot are out there most of the tracks can be found HERE (http://www.teamspeedsims.com/jps)
Cars: talk to the guy from Aussie Muscle, get him on board. I can try and do .Veh files because I am pretty good at geting performances down.
Sounds: make or break the game.

thats the list ive been looking for

so to review, I get the idea of what your saying (I too have many different .exe's for that reason).

What I am thinking is incorperate this patch into the original SCGT game, if possible, and just add this as the V8 Supercar series. I wont know until I get into looking at the game itself but surely if we based this off an unmodified, original SCGT game surely we could add this as a 2004 V8 series.

I'm not wanting to have a secondary .exe file, as this causes confusion, but we may have to unfortunatly. As I said, I wont know until I get into playing around with the game.

As for loading screens, your too right. We will be making new loading screens that all look similar but professional, to give you a sense this is a full game and not just parts of various downloads shoved into SCGT, as it does now.

Cars, yep, as I said thats Monaroman68 which I found out he's doing the SCGT page on Aussie Muscle, he's a great skinner/car maker/whatever he does so hopefully he'll join and help out

Tracks, I'll have to get permission to use all the tracks, otherwise any Aus track from that list we can get hold of will be used. I will also check out importing tracks from other games, but i wouldnt count on that

Sounds, yes entirely new sounds which will be based off television/dvd recordings, so the sounds come from the real thing

wow, this is starting to take some shape now:)

The Toruing Car patch I have has a section for Aussie V8s, maybe we could make a new patch and break it down into different makes, theres 4 classes max. Sound is a bit harder because you need an idle and a running sound (ie 2000 RPM).

sound is just something that if we worked hard at and had the resources (ie the sound files we want to replace the original with) then we could do it, if we worked hard as I said^_^

are you able to convert/make/get cars into SCGT at all by any chance??

But any help is good help so please, stick with us and come back:D because we're all real Noobs and we can modify EA Sports V8 Challenge like we're eating dinner but we've no idea when it comes to SCGT, except on how to download and install 3rd party cars (some dont even know how to do that)
