Am I the only one who is annoyed by the steering help? When you're trying to drive the car, it just seems to takeover the steering and get in the way.
It would be nice to disable it, since the majority of players likely have a wheel and don't need it getting in the way.

Some ppl at the Racesim forums have been complaining of this too.Tom,is there any reason why this "Aid" is apparently in the game?

It's probably still on there from the XBOX version. I have the XBOX version and it does the same way.
I noticed people at RSC complaining too, since not everyone goes there, I thought this topic could do here also.
I have no idea what you mean with driving help
Can you explain in more detail ?

In the demo, if you turn the wheels so it starts sliding and you are using the chase camera then you can see the front-wheels steering partly to decrease the drift even if your key, or wheel is centered. This is not affected by the ESP option. The demo-update only made the interior steering-wheel not move, but if the car is drifiting sideways then the front-wheels still counter-steer slightly to make it easier to control the drift. This is in fact the biggest, if not the only problem with this otherwise great game in my humble oppinion.

Ok I can see it now.
Havent noticed that since I hardly use chase or incar view.

THANK YOU Fez... I was afraid asking this... I have no clue at all what steering aid means.

I apologize if I have overlooked it, but has there been an answer to this question?
Greetings

Not that I know.
Actually, after checking VERY carefully, I've noticed a small "automatic" counter steer, too. But it's so small that it seems something like a road-to-wheel force effect (i.e.: the wheels tend to self-align).
But if you keep the wheels turned, nothing avoids a spin at the exit, there's no aid for that :D
Any update on this one??? Auto-Correction feels a bit weird... I rather have it turned off.... Though it's sure helps when playing with KB....
