NFSPU freezing in W2K

OK, I have W2K with SP2 and a Microsoft USB FF wheel. I have had a few problems with the PC freezing either when loading the menu screen or when playing. It freezes and wont recover. I thought it may be a USB related problem. But I just do not know. Is there a patch available? I have tried looking through EA's sites but I cant seem to fin anything.

Help? Please?!

Change your page file too 256 min and max, that should fix it if not try other sizes, but more isnt better
