I thought i'd start this so we can have input into the release date.
As we all know there are about 50 thousand different dates flying around.
So I thought if I set this up as we hear info (aka roumers) we can at least post it here.
So I'll start.
April 20. Thats what I have heard about 4 times from 4 different people. Lets see what you have all heard.

Not having a go at anybody, just pointing out human nature.
Funny how we all tend to believe the most popular rumours although it is only a case of how many spread the word.
If someone was to say it is definately on blah blah date then 20 say definately on yadda yadda date we'd believe the majority even though the credibility of all persons concerned was even.
For example I could mention a date, post it on several forums and some folks are bound to repeat that date to others. Depending on how much they socialize, that date could out number other rumours.
Food for thought
P.S. Matt : (2059?) I think you may be confused with the earliest released beta or possible (dare I say it?) the demo. ^_^

I sure hope they have the 2002 textures worked out by then (2059.... sometime). :D
I'm just wondering how long after that will the full version be released? :(
Hey look, there's that date twice again, in this post. Man, that's gotta be the official date!! heh
Gawd dang come on EA Sports, we're all going silly with anticipation....... or if we have to wait much longer we'll all be so old it will be constipation. &(
I did thank you already for waiting until I had the new CPU and m/board. We're ready now thanks.
Hit us with it. :Peace:

I think we believe the majority of roumers because we all want to play the dammned thing. So if majority says this day then we like to believe that,

Y2kGoofball : So true mate.
It's like we hang-out for info beit good or bad news, anything to fill the void. But at the same time nobody likes getting the friggin' run-around. I'm the straight down the line type of person. I'd rather be told a definate date no matter if it is another 6 months away, than to be feed crumbs month after month.
$70 may not be all that much to some folk but it's not easy to keep that much aside, week after week, when you are unemployed or a pensioner like myself with a household to run and all the bills are coming in at once. :help:

god dammit! l heard they just pushed the release date back 10yrs.........so its now 2069 ^_^
$70 is hard to keep laying around for anyone, u always see something u feel u need to purchase, before u know it u dont have any money for the game u realli wanted.
thats exactly what happened 2 me, when l rang harvey norman up asking if they had V8challenge in-stock(ages ago when it was first meant to be released) they told me it was instock......so l went over to harvey norman planing on buying V8challenge, which l soon relised l had been conned into going to harvey norman.....
their plan worked, l ended up walking out with a $100 PS2 game
and there goes my money&(

According to Harvey Norman's catalogue it's now 28 March.
I scanned in the pic but it was too big to upload.
so "Pre book now" as it says!!!
We'll see if it comes out then.

The trouble with catalogues is that they are generally printed a few weeks in advance.
Not saying either way how good Hardly Normal (Harvey Norman) release date info is but talking with someone in the know the other day and he said Reality Systems (who are officially promoting V8 Challenge) are also working in conjunction with Harvey Norman.
So maybe, just maybe they have more of an insight as to when to make room on the shelves. Who knows?

I know what you mean with the catalogues - HN have printed dates before (I think twice before) and they havent had the games there on that day (like the last time when i stood there until they opened to find out they didnt have any copies)
Anyhow - give it a week from today and we'll see!

LOL.
Q. How do you spot an Aussie Total NFS member?
A. They are the ones waiting outside the software stores before opening on rumored V8 Challenge release dates. ^_^
I was the first in line at EB (Electronics Boutique) Redbank on the last rumored release date. :D
I hope you (& Hardly Normal) are right Y2k, a few days ago I was told (on the phone from an almost inside source) that it could quite possibly be within a few days to a week.
But then again, a lot are saying "the summer of 2059.... sometime" and it's only human nature to go with the majority. ^_^

Second life? I'm on my 4th already.

:( No wonder I haven't recieved royalities from it yet. :(
