With the CLK GTR, certain spots on tracks apparently snag the front end of the CLK, causing it to stop instantly. A scrape would be understandable, but instead, it snags the car and instantly stops it and sometimes even flips the car over. Here is a link to a small video (2MB) at Mexico 15, just after the start..

Can this be fixed in a future release please?

Here's a better example, car is in middle of road, then bang, the front end just lifts up.

Yeah, this bug is really annoying

I was trying today to complete the mission with the 1998 GTR on the test track N°10, during second lap when I was leading well the car started to block every other turn, flipping in an awful way... it's really strange, because I was driving on the same racing lines as the previous lap

I saved the replay, I'll try to tape it and then re-capture it and post a link. For the moment there's only some screenshot

I've posted this at NFBS also. The second video clip I posted here is more to the point. Sometimes the car crashes even when there is no dip (at least not a visible one).

Same for me in that race, I was just in the middle of the track when it jumped (once raising the front and once going down).

I hope I can connect my laptop and grab the video while it's running on the other PC, so that I can make a clip and show it, too.

Hi @ all

Synetic is checking it since yesterday... I come back as soon I know what or if we can fix it.

Sorry for this one...:")

Not sure if this helps or not, but when using the "V" view camera, to get some nice views, I've notice some tile like shapes in a few spots on the track that are not visible from a normal view.

Also thanks Tom. Just wanted to let you know I still think it's a great game.

A copy of a post I did on NFBS...

This invisible wall was something completly new for us... probably a thausend times this road has been driven and nothing has happend...

The only thing I can imagine is the following :

As you know everything is build on poligons. the poligons have to match together like a puzzle. This is based on calculations with 6 digits behind the komma.

In some cases in the wilderness of the landscape 6 digits is not enough and under some circumstances where 3-5 poligons are building one connection puzzle there are overlays or wholes. Off course all roads are checked that this does not happen for 99,99 % chance.

A car like the GTR is extremely flat because of wind resistance and suspension. If there is an overlay of poligons ( that you can not see because it is covered by some layers of textures ) the car can run against this invisible wall. Other cares with higher suspension = not so flat to the ground are just driving over this overlay or max have a litle bumb like driving over a little stone or whatever.

This is definately something we can not fix and might only happen on this point with this car.

Pls apologize not having a better answer but at least an answer.

Here's the video (about 1Mbyte):

Gtr flying (http://663blacktigers.net/DC/temp/mbwr-gtr-jump.wmv)

I must admit that the "high fly" is my fault because I touched the curbs, but the first blocking was just in the middle of the track....funny jumping anyway :D

Argh I am on a lousy modem dialup right now, so I cannot (or better dont want to) download the videos, but I think I know what you mean.

I only saw it on "Testcenter" and usually only when going over the curbs, thought it was just the fast cars getting too much air and flipping, I got a bit suspicious when I flipped the slow 280 SL Pagode ;)
