Some good news

[Wazza]

Well I just thought this was rather cool, I just took 17 of my best photos I've taken to the Kodak store, in the local mall. In fact, I took them in yesterday, I specifically asked for 2 to be printed at 8x6", and the other 15 at 4x6"...

Anyway, they screwed them up, printing a lot more than 2 at the larger size. So I was thinking umm, I hope they don't charge extra. So then they said the pics were way too good to throw away, and gave them to me, for the smaller size price.

Then, even greater news, they said a couple were perfectly ideal for their future branch display, so they asked for my permission to use at least one of the pics, to be blown up, and displayed, with reference to my name. I just thought that was really great, and that just made my day :)

Finally, the price...
Yesterday, the staff member, said $1.50 per 4x6", and $6 for the larger one.
So 15 pics at $1.50 is $22.50, plus 2 @ $6, = $34.50 total. And that would be the 2 large, 15 small price.
But to my surprise, the price was $21.

Now looking at the pics they in fact gave me 11 large ones, and 6 small.
So the real value of them, should be $66 + 9 = $75!!!

Ps. $21NZ is around $13US

One slight problem with some of the pics, the cropping or edge cutting wasn't the best, but if these pics are just framed or whatever, there's no problem. Still cannot complain with the price I got them for!

My favs a re the one of the girl(?) on the beach against the sun, very nice effect there and the one that has been shot looking up the tower, that's rather good, it looks like there is a UFO on top, miles away.

Which one(s) are they gonna use, do ya know? Or did they just take a copy of each and choose it later?

And finally dont ya just love it when places stuff up badly? My fav is here in aus DSE Electronics store at Xmas last year, MattB told me about the Momo wheels on sale, and I had no intention buying one due to the near $300 price tag I had seen, ironically only a day or 2 before at a DSE store. So i didnt really pay attention, i mean I was happy with my Thrustmaster wheel which was only 6 months old.

Anyways looking on their website while chatting to Matt I saw what he meant

Yep, typo

Supposed to be $288 on special, they forgot the 2 altogether! And as it was their advetised price they had to sell it to us for that price, even though the brouchure and in-store price tag both had $288

We raced in and got the second last one, the guy at the checkout realising the mistake (duh we had to explain why we werent paying $288 for it) raced out to 'check with the manager' only to return with the very last one in stock for himself^_^, laughing at his buy too

I assure you, we live all of 3 minutes from the nearest store and I swear by the time we got back home they had the problem fixed on the internet;)

Might have been the sudden sale of $88 momo wheels at a loss of 200 bucks a pop on that day that made em change it quick smart

Now I hope they add my pic to their walls, gives me great pleasure.

I jokingly said that would be a fun job as a photographer, but my dad then had the idea of working at the bank, and photographing, part time or as a hobby as current. Well at least this new activity, has made me leave my house 10 times more often than I used to :D Can kinda blame this for one of the reasons of not playing NFS5 as much as I have done so recently.
