View Full Version : I'm "Driver No.1" !!!

Hi MB world!
I just got to the final "aim" of the game, as MBWR says :HB: There's a cool video for you when you reach No.1 -^
Well, actually I have still a long list of missions (22 out of 48) and championships (12 out of 16) to complete, but I'm already at an overall 82% and I've been awarded the "Driver No.1" title :cool:
How did I achieve that, with such a short list of missions/champs?
Well, as I wrote in another thread, I was simply testing - in "single race" mode - each and every car that I won...the test races were increasing my % and giving me more cars and more missions, until I reached the following status:

I have now all the 120 cars and can drive all the 48 missions, while I'm still missing most of the tracks and 2 championships.
Regarding what I've completed, here is the statistic page:

As you see I drove ALL the 127 cars :cool: :D
Now I can proceed with the remaining races ;)
PS: I lost the 1-to-1 mission with the Test CLK GTR, the one where you have to win by 14 seconds =(( I'll try again

The alternative "single races" we specially did for those who did not complete a few missions and can compensate this through single races.
The overall performance is what we wanted to appreciate and not a kind of one trick pony drive !
I guess you still have lots of things to do in MBWR before you did everything !?
Really, it is a pleasure to be on this board and talk to real racers who are serious interested about our work.

Thx Tom,for giving us such a great game,and for listening to our complaints,and compliments,and taking them seriously! :cool: I,myself,haven'y been this enthusiastic about a racing game,since I "discovered" NFS 5 PU.:beer:

I got to Driver #1 quite late (just 4 competitions and no more missions left) :D

Thanks FeZ, Ric and Tom ;) Now I want to drive all the remaining tracks, championships and missions...can't wait to drive them all but it will take another month at least :)

I would add another important point: we are a really close group of friends, already used to have fun together, this would make us an even better testing pool :D

I'm having a great time with this game,,, think i'm almosy 3/4 thru it... I love the tracks,,, twist's and turn's everywhere,,, and the roads are the right width,,, in most other games, the road seems to be 600m wide,, even when it's meant to be a small track&( ....
But what i don't understand is,,, why are all the "generic" vans in the game Ford Transits,,, whats that all about? Ford bloodyTransits in a Mercedes game,, my old 208D will be turning in her grave (RIP Beryl);) :D

I know why: it's because you always smash into those bloody Transit....Mercedes didn't want to spoil their nice Sprinters & Vito...^_^

We wanted to have other cars than Mercedes in the game as non player car. Looks more natural I believe...!?
How many hours of gameplay did you enjoy so fare ?

No singles here, but I'm getting good %'s on the events, especially with the AI cranked down. Only some of the missions are tough, but I've managed to get through them all. I'm only 67%, 1280km, but have 119 cars. Only one more car to go. The events are getting quite long now. Glad I finally got the 1998 CLK. Wonder what's next.

Got that car last nite, 68% and all cars. At the top championship right now (been skipping them when possible).

Did MBWR again, starting from beginner mode. This time just ran the 1st race at Nevada 14, then all singles (also at Nevada 14), doesn't take a lot of miles this way, and I think I know Nevada 14 now. I ran a singles race with every car (which show up while running singles), then the remainder with the GTR.
